Here's just a couple of shots from yesterday;

We decided to take advantage of DH having the time off so we took the cameras to Keukenhof.

Keukenhof is carpeted with tulips. Say what you will about tulips but they are not subtle;

I worked up the nerve to try my hand at macro shots with the 40D. I thought this little emerging bud looked very hopeful;

After looking at an ocean of eye-popping colors for a couple of hours I really enjoyed this playful pink bloom peeping out among the leaves;

I still despair of ever taking a picture in focus. Even with all the electronic/high tech assistance I'm still having trouble with that. But I will say that I truly enjoyed attempting macro shots. It's so much fun to control the depth of focus so that your eye is drawn to the subject.

I've been having fun with something called 'Kaleidofractals'

here's one example;
(click to enlarge - you won't regret it)

And I've been trying to figure out how to let the computer do all the work on an Escher division of plane. Look real close, there are both black and white dogs here;

If you like these then you'll love
this.

And I've been messing around with frames and as always beauty retouching.

Maybe I should change the name of my blog to 'It must have been something I Photoshopped.' :D

We met a friend in Amsterdam yesterday.

And of course we took the cameras. Here's a vase Al shot which I've made into a kaleidoscope;

Gallery.

Also. I've been having fun making repetitive images;

I've updated my Photoshop gallery.
